UPDATE from the hive! 131 waste-free meals logged as of 8-9-10!
The challenge: We want to log 1,000 waste-free meals—with your help!
Why? We want to build awareness about how little things (like a single plastic fork) add up to a big impact (millions of used plastic forks!). Help us reduce the use of disposables.
What is a waste-free meal? It’s just what it sounds like. No single use paper, plastic or Styrofoam is discarded in the consumption or transportation. Reusable container? That’s cool. Cloth napkins— those are great too!
How do I participate?
1) Have your own waste-free meal and tell us about it.
2) Reply privately using the form below (or scroll down and add a comment).

While you can always put your child’s lunch items into Ziploc baggies, you can also take an easy step to save money and cut down on the trash being hauled to our landfills by simply using the Kids Konserve reusable Food Kozy. The Food Kozy is an innovative and non-toxic solution that can help you eliminate your plastic baggie, saran wrap, and foil addiction, while giving you the flexibility you need for all your lunchtime creations.
I use my Food Kozy to wrap up my Open faced brie cheese and granny smith apple slices on slice of sourdough bread – Yummy!

8 waste-free meals this week! OK, I’ve started keeping a scorecard on the side of my fridge to track my #beewastefree meals. It’s better than boring you with my comments! And by the way, this is the ONLY thing stuck to the side of my fridge. I’m a closet minimalist, after all. ~Paula
