I’ve been quilting for a number of years and wanted to incorporated some “green” into my projects. And I don’t just mean green colored fabric (of which I have tons…lime green is one of my favorite colors). I’m talking about re-using things, upcycling, recycling, and any other kind of fabric cycling I can do. Then I came across this book, “Sewing Green” by Betz White, which has some really great ideas. I want to run out and make the scarf that is shown on the front cover it is so cute! But it just goes to show you that there are lots of materials out there to choose from. You don’t have to go to the store to buy new materials to get a great result. Got a fun recycled or upcycled piece? Let us know! We’d love to hear about it. I know there are a lot of really clever people out there!
